George And Mildred (1977) SE2 EP7 – No Business Like Show Business

George and Mildred is a British sitcom produced by Thames Television and first aired between 1976 and 1979. It is a spin-off from Man About the House, and starred Brian Murphy and Yootha Joyce as constantly-sparring married couple George and Mildred Roper. Jeffrey is directing the neighbourhood’s Christmas pantomime – ‘Cinderella’ – and Mildred is only too happy to be playing one of the Ugly Sisters. Unfortunately on the opening night she loses her voice and is unable to go on stage so,inevitably, George is called upon to replace her. Credit to : The Comedy Series Inc
